What is normal for your horse?

Temperature: 99.5 - 101.5    Pulse: 30 - 40 beats per min.      Respiratory Rate: 12 - 20 breaths per min.

Gum Color: Pale Pink          Capillary refill time: less than 2 seconds

Remember, every horse is different. Check these vital signs while your horse is at rest. In an emergency, it is helpful to know your horse's normal vitals.

As always, if you have an emergency or your horse is in need of veterinary care, do not hesitate, contact your veterinarian immediately.
